2014 Recap

Ok so I've been pretty absent on the blogging world these days (blame Instagram!) and I must admit, I've gotten a tad bit lazy. (whoops!)

However, I'll never miss a recap post on how my year has been cause it's really the only way that I can reflect on my year and see what I have achieved and what I haven't.

This was what I said in my

2013 Recap

post:

"Here's to hoping that 2014 will be an even better year! I wish to be able to grow more career wise and also be able to plan an amazing wedding with J."

Oh what a year it has been! Before I begin, below is the list of popular posts on this humble blog of mine:

1.

Happily Ever After

2.

What I Wore: Dorothy Wiz

3.

Wedding: #kimjas2014

4.

Fashion #ND4FV- Nora Danish x Fashion Valet

5.

What I Wore: Melissa Boho Heels

The highlight of my year was definitely getting married to the love of my life, Jason (previously known as J, some of you even commented that you can now finally see his face! haha!) Not sure if the career part is going fairly well, but the to be able to plan an amazing wedding part definitely came true. Everything about our wedding was just so magical and every bit of it was how I've imagined it to be. I can't wait to share some pictures here with you. But here's a sneak peek of one of our wedding events taken by one of my favourite Melbourne photographers,

Jonathan Ong

As for the career department, I took a little break and worked part time here and there. Due to travel and wedding commitments, I've decided to do so but I have no regrets though as I was one of those lucky and blessed ones to be able to do what I love and not worry about life. :) But 2015 is time for me to get serious in this department.

I was very fortunate to be able to travel to places again in 2014. Paris was my favourite! Yup I went to Paris 3 times in 6 months! Somebody pinch me! You can read about my Paris adventures

. The reason why this particular Paris trip was my favourite is because I got to live and visit places like a local. There were a few days where I was alone and my travel mates had other plans. So I decided to take the Metro, alone, roam the streets of Le Marais, alone and read a book at a very, very pretty cafe, alone. I've never felt so satisfied. If time permits, the next time I travel, I must make a point to take some time and do what the locals do, instead of rushing around like any other tourist. I just realised that most of my travel photos from this Paris trip was gone, and then I remembered, my friend from

asmanasa.com

, her laptop wiped out my memory card! Devastated, I was. We're still friends though ;) in case you were wondering.

Apart from Paris, I've also travelled to Singapore with girlfriends, Jakarta with my Fashion Valet buyers (where someone stole my phone!with all my pictures that were not backed up at that time) and to the United Kingdom with Jason. (Did a post on Nottingham

here

, which is my favourite outfit post to date!)

2014 was also a very significant year in my personal life because I've finally found what I've been looking for spiritually. Words cannot express how happy I am to have finally found THE light, as cliche as it may sound.

9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Luke 11:9-10

Here's to hoping that I will continue to grow career wise, be able to travel and live like a local, be closer to God and obviously have a happy marriage life with Jason in 2015!

Have an awesome 2015 everyone and thank you for still reading
