Travel {Hua Hin} : A Destination Wedding

This is my first time attending a beach wedding and I gotta say I loved it! The whole ceremony and reception was so, so beautiful. I loved how it was so intimate and personal. The bride and groom even had time to mingle around with their guests. Most weddings, we can only greet the bride and groom after the event is over.

The theme of the wedding was peach and grey. If you noticed, the groomsmen had a starfish as his boutonnière instead of a flower. I thought that was really creative and original. Don't get me started on the beautiful lanterns and ribbons hanging on the big willow looking tree. During the day it was already  pretty, but once the sun set and the lights came to live, it was even more beautiful. Le sigh.

I am really glad and happy to be a part of this wedding. Thank you to the gorgeous couple who invited me and the boyfriend to celebrate their special day on such a beautiful island resort.

Looking forward to another close friend's beach wedding at the end of this year! *beams!*

Cheryl & Jack's Engagement Party

Date: 10th March 2013

Venue: Cafe Vue, Bulleen, Victoria

Two days ago, a very good friend of mine, Cheryl had her engagement party at Cafe Vue in Melbourne. Needless to say, the decoration was amazing and it was done solely by Cheryl herself. So glad I was able to make it for her engagement and have the opportunity to take pretty pictures of her decoration. All the props you see in the above photos are all hers, including ALL the bottles.

She handmade each and every single bottle for the flowers in mint green and pastel pink hues. Yup, every single one of them. I've to applaud her for her dedication and preparation in making that day so, so beautiful. She even custom made those rock candies, cake pops and fortune cookies for her guests to take home. Also, each guest gets to take home those fresh flowers with them! I was so happy and got a little bit greedy and took the bottles home with me too. Hehe, sorry Cheryl.

What do you think of the decoration?

Pretty, ain't it?

Lion Kim

If you've been following me on instagram, you would know that I have recently dyed my hair - half blonde. I wanted to go for the

ombre

look again but thought I should have a toned down version of it.

As expected, every time I lighten my hair, I will never get the shade that I want (even after bleaching it) cause my hair is apparently, really really black.

So my inspiration was this:

But my turnout was like this:

So yeah, now I am known as 'Lion Kim' (you know like Lion King) cause of my golden hair. Just touched up the gold part with my sister's left over hair dye and it actually turned out quite good. It's turned into a light ash brown colour which is more acceptable than golden hair. Hopefully it will be better after washing it for a few weeks.

I'll Be Right Back!

I've been really busy at work but I'll be back soon.

Bare with me while I get some blog posts ready for this space.
